Photovoltaic systems
Since 2015 we have focussed on investments aimed at using renewable energies and reducing CO2 emissions.
The most significant action was the installation of a photovoltaic system covering the whole plant. In later years, we further increased our electricity-generation capacity by installing also vertical panels on facades.
Our power generation amounted to 170 kWp at its debut and increased up to a total of 321.18 kWp in 2023. Since 2015 these systems have generated a remarkable power, over 300,000 kWh per year.
Microgeneration Plants
Moreover, our company invested in high-efficiency cogeneration. We bought two 19.49-kWp microgenerators to obtain energy from mains gas and use it to power production machines.
In winter, the heat produced by cogenerators is used for heating rooms in the plant, while in summer it is used for air conditioning to help cool down working spaces.
Thanks to these interventions, we have reduced CO2 emissions and received year after year the white certificates acknowledged by the Italian Power Exchange.
